Employers Using Facebook and Twitter for Background Checking

91% of employers check social networking sites to get a read on their prospective employees, according to How Recruiters Use Social Networks to Screen Candidates, an article and infographic on Mashable.com.  69% have rejected an applicant based on their online profiles and 68% have actually hired a person because they liked what they saw.
