SEO Review: January 23, 2012

I made a change in my rank monitoring this week.  Instead of checking ranks weekly, I switched to checking ranks daily.  It made very little difference overall, but it was interesting in one search results.  One of Josh’s rankings dropped about forty spots one day then bounced right back up the next.  We call that the Google Dance.  It was just interesting to see it happen like that.

A little bit of a drop overall, though some of the results did go up.  Two of the terms that dropped out of the top 100 were just barely in it to begin with and one of the terms that shows up as not being in the top 100 has the #1 and #2 spot.  I haven’t heard back from the tracking software makers about this issue yet.  Holding steady, all in all.  I’m waiting on Joe to okay a stopped-up attack to get these rankings to the next level.  At the very least he needs to take my advice to get more articles posted.

Mostly more of the same.  We did have two search phrases jump to #6, which is great, though our main search term fell a couple spots to the third page.  Might be time to start stepping up this campaign as well.

Onward and upward!  We had a few drops, but also a few gains.  You’ll notice that all of the search terms rank in the top 100 in Google this week.

As I mentioned, I changed the rank tracking to daily from weekly and Josh had a search results that dropped about forty points, but it came back and stabilized one spot ahead of where it was originally.  I noticed more wobble in this site than I did any others, but most of the results ended up right where they were last week.  Just interesting to see.

I’m expecting to add two or three more campaigns to this list by next week or the week after that at the latest.  Stay tuned!
