Why do I have ?v= and a bunch of characters in my URL?

Have you noticed that when you go to any page on your site, it ends up with something like ?v=7516fd43adaa at the end of the URL?

WooCommerce-Default-Customer-AddressIt doesn’t hurt anything, but it’s a little annoying to me.  Fortunately, it’s an easy fix.

  • Go to your WooCommerce > Settings.
  • Go to Default Customer Address, the third option under the General tab.
  • Change it from Geolocate (with page caching support) to Geolocate.
  • Hit Save Changes.
  • Refresh any page on your site and you should get a nice, clean and normal URL.
