DDMF Ringtone

I hope this doesn’t lose me any potential clients, but…

Anyone who knows me know I’m an unabashed and avid fan of the Duke Blue Devils. Prior to the first of the three Duke-UNC games this season (all of which Duke won), I was inspired by a clip I saw online to make a new Duke ringtone.

I had one previously. It was from the 2010 Duke-UNC game at Cameron, which was the last game of the regular season. En route to winning the game 82-50 (and subsequently going on to win the ACC Tournament as well as the NCAA Tournament), the Cameron Crazies had started their “Our House” chant but interrupted themselves when Miles Plumlee caught a lob for a dunk, scoring Duke’s final points of the game and causing the chant to give way to thunderous cheers.

Here’s that moment, if you’d like to check it out:

I made that audio into a ringtone and used it every basketball season for a while, but I must have lost it during some phone upgrade or another.

Over the years Duke adopted a chant that has grown in popularity. They play DJ Khaled’s “All I Do is Win,” and at the pause after “Everybody hands go up” the crows yells “Duke Duke motherf*cker!”

It gets me hyped. Sorry, it just does.

So I decided to turn that into a new Duke-themed ringtone to use during college basketball seasons. I love it. Every time someone calls me I have to wait for it to go through the whole bit before I answer, so apologies if you need me to answer right away- you’ll just have to wait four seconds.

Anyway, in honor of Duke having just won their 23rd ACC Tournament I’ve decided to make it available to anyone who wants it. It’s totally free, but I do have one thing to ask:

Help me out if you can.

How?

This is a web design and marketing company‘s website, so if your business, or the business of anyone you know, needs a website or wants to get more visitors to it, or needs to make sure those visitors are taking action, give us a shout. I’d love to help out a fellow Blue Devil fan. (But I’ve got clients who are Tar Heel fans too. I do keep it professional.) If it’s online, we do it: SEO, ad management, email marketing, getting more and better reviews, hosting and maintenance, content creation

Okay, here’s the file. After you click the button, click the three dots on the right and then click Download.

Unfortunately they don’t make it super easy to set the ringtone. I’m not an expert on it, so here are some instructions you can follow to do it. For what it’s worth, I used the Garage Band method.

Set a custom ringtone on iPhone

Set a custom ringtone on Android

Looks like it’s probably a lot easier on an Android device, which isn’t a huge surprise. I’ve had an iPhone since the very first generation of them and am too invested to switch, so don’t rag me about it.

So there you go, your very own DDMF ringtone. Enjoy, spread the love, and get ready for the NCAA Tournament!
