Missions of Mercy Dental Clinic

I received the following email from Dr. Sarah Pless from the Atlantic Dental Group and wanted to pass it along to get word out to anyone who can help.

I apologize for the redundancy of this message if you’ve already seen it via FB/church/etc, but we could use your help at a wonderful event next weekend!  The North Carolina Missions of Mercy (MOM) Dental Clinic is once again coming to Wilmington. This 2-day free clinic serves low income families in the greater Wilmington area. In 2011, the MOM event treated over 600 patients.  The clinic is entirely staffed by volunteers, both dental and non-dental—and this is where we need your help!

The event will be held at the Schwartz Center on the downtown campus of Cape Fear Community College on April 27-28.  We need 300 volunteers to make this project a success, and there are many ways in which YOU can volunteer. For either a morning or afternoon shift, you can help setup or breakdown the actual clinic, register patients, translate, help with food service, take health histories, direct traffic—we got something for everybody and WE NEED YOU!

It’s very easy to signup online at the NC Dental Society website.  Go to www.ncdental.org, click on “NCMOM” near the top, and then click on “Volunteer – Community Support”.  There is a brief description of the various volunteer duties.

Please call or email if you have any questions,
